Our country has become the center of attraction for investments in developing markets, owing to its giving weight to structural reforms, improving the investment environment and perpetuating the EU process pertinaciously during recent years where global liquidity is in rise. Of course, progression in macroeconomic indicators deserved such an intensive interest. Turkey succeeded to bring to heel the high inflation rate that has left its mark on the last 20-25 years, and achieved such growth figures for a period of the recent 5 years, i.e. 7%, being accepted as successful even in international standards. In this context, per capita income for the last 5 years increased from USD 4.300 to USD 9.300. In this impressive growth thrust, the construction industry having indicated a real growth at an average rate of 11% for the same period is of capital importance.
We, as Doğuş Real Estate, aim to develop new investment projects in the years to come, since we always rely upon the Turkish economy. In line with this aim, we carry on the project development works with regards to such fields as residential projects, commercial centers, hotels, hospitals, and logistics, within our wide range of real estate portfolio. Our corporate mission is to increase our investments through stable growth in the years to come and to provide the highest customer satisfaction by carrying the Doğuş brand and its professionalism into real estate projects.
Currently holding 14 assets throughout Turkey, Doğuş Real Estate has been focusing on the development of two major projects since the Company’s establishment: a Shopping Center Project in Gebze, scheduled to be completed in 2010, with a covered area of approximately 150.000 m², ,leasable space of 60.000 m²; and a Residential Project in Kartal, neighbor to the Urban Transformation Area, comprising of a total of 540 apartment units as well as social and commercial facilities.
In addition to these projects, we furthermore continue our mixed use project development and planning works on our present assets throughout Turkey.
We, as Doğuş Real Estate, by following through our targets and principles believe that our customers will benefit to a maximum extent from our investments in real estate sector,in the period to come.
